An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen in the Employer Engagement &amp; Business Development department of Knowsley Community College, to work as Training Co-ordinator in the above occupational area. All candidates must be occupationally competent in one or more of the above areas. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Trainer Assessor/Internal Verifier, looking for career progression.

We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a passion for work based learning. The ability to co-ordinate a team of assessors and their caseloads carrying out internal verification of all apprenticeship and NVQ programmes in main subject areas of occupational competence is essential. Track and monitor learner progress and outcomes including planning assessments/IV in line with the College IV policies, procedures and awarding body requirements.

To play a major role in supporting curriculum areas in developing effective and cost efficient delivery models, whilst maintaining a high quality of provision for apprenticeships and NVQ&amp;#39;s in the workplace working closely with section managers. Where work load permits continue to assess and carry a reduced caseload of learners as agreed with your line manager. You must have a proven track record of achieving high retention and timely success rates in a dynamic educational/training environment with the ability to meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisation, planning, communication and IT skills, with the ability to build up excellent rapport with employers, learners and colleagues. It is essential that the post holder is able to work on own initiative, be self motivated to achieve challenging personal and team targets, complying with deadlines and working flexibly in a dynamic environment.

*Trouble shoot and maintain equipment in accordance with relevant Preventive Maintenance documentation
*Report any unresolved issues to Maintenance Supervisor
*Reduce occupational injuries inherent to the area by ensuring proper Personal Protective Equipment is worn at all times
*Ensure that the housekeeping in the areas under the Maintenance control is maintained to the highest standard
*Participate in developing the manufacturing unit&amp;#39;s activities e.g. working practices, equipment specifications, and improvements in productivity and quality
*Ensure all equipment maintained in safe working condition compliant with all codes and regulations
*Be aware of requirement for timely repair and re-instatement of equipment in breakdown situation
*Carrying out any other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time

Ideally you will have;

Proven track record within a fast pace, demanding manufacturing environment
Involvement in change initiatives and projects with a view to continual improvement
HS Qualification, or equivalent, level in a manufacturing or engineering discipline
Excellent computer skills 
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work shifts
